Valdemara 38

Project Objective:

The aim of the project was to efficiently and as quickly as possible convert a Soviet-era block of office buildings into a modern apartment building for foreign students dormitory building, carrying out a complete internal renovation and energy efficiency improvements. The client’s priorities were economically sound solutions and a modern architectural exterior.

Final Outcome:

Within 14 months, working closely with the client’s representatives, we managed not only to develop the necessary project documentation, but also to complete all construction work. To speed up the construction process, we worked with the client to develop an optimized work plan, which helped us complete the project in record time. The construction work was not just cosmetic. During the construction work, the original building was stripped down to its structural core, and the renovation of the building included the construction of a new reinforced concrete intermediate floor, a complete reconstruction of the internal engineering communications, and a major renovation of the building. The end result is that the Soviet-era block building has been transformed into a modern gem in the center of Riga, which elegantly blends into its surroundings while adding a modern accent to the classic view of Valdemāra Street.
