Project Objective:

Design a dental clinic in the commercial premises of an existing historic building. The project must include patient admission, an operating room, an X-ray room, a sanitary room, staff rooms, and other functional support rooms, while taking into account the existing space limitations.

Final Outcome:

A solution was developed by analyzing the existing common space and developing several potential layouts for the space. Not only the customer’s requirements were taken into account, but also the requirements of regulatory enactments. The design was limited by the existing brick wall and the steps at the entrance to the clinic.

The final solution was discussed with the client several times and even adjusted during construction to achieve optimal space utilization. The existing total area is relatively small for the desired room configuration. Our team managed to find the desired solution without sacrificing anything from the desired configuration.
