Gogol Street Tunnel

Project Objective:

Develop a modern and spacious bicycle parking and maintenance area/space. The project was carried out as part of the Riga City Council’s preparations for the completion of the Rail Baltic main central station, with the aim of modernizing the city’s transport infrastructure by providing bicycle transport ‘Habu’.

Final Outcome:

The renovated Soviet-era station pedestrian tunnel has been reborn in bright modern colors and contemporary design. The constructed area has 221 individual bicycle parking spaces, which will be able to handle the necessary bicycle traffic flow at the central station.
